AMP Director of Financial Planning, Advice & Services Steve Helmich said Mr Machin’s appointment signifies AMP’s strong focus on providing the best quality advice and support across its licensees.

Mr Machin, as Director of Advice heads up paraplanning, product research, advice solutions and TapIn (adviser technical support) for AMP Financial Planning, Hillross and Horizons planners.

Mr Machin has worked at AMP for over 20 years. In his most recent role as Head of Paraplanning, he successfully reinvigorated AMP’s paraplanning operation across four states, providing services to over 250 AMP practices.

Prior to that he led a large scale change program within the Finance function, and has also managed a diverse range of business functions and projects across Financial Planning, Advice & Services, Product Manufacturing and Finance.
