Valentine’s Day marked the completion of the next phase of TAL’s new risk-specialist dealer group, Affinia, and the company chose that day to launch its recruitment drive in a bid to fulfil its goal of achieving a truly national footprint of quality risk-specialist advisers.

Craig Parker, Head of Affinia, commented: “We are having a bit of fun with Valentine’s Day but we are very serious about building Australia’s leading risk specialist licensee. The relationships that advisers have with their dealer group and the relationships that advisers have with the customers are increasingly long-term, built on trust and a deep understanding of needs.”

Parker also took the opportunity to launch Affinia’s company values.

“Our values will help us build long-term relationships with our advisers and clients. Our values demonstrate that we’re serious about building a community of like-minded risk specialists who are passionate about our role in the community.”

Affinia’s values are:

Be involved in the Affinia Community. We will build on our professionalism and culture through the sharing of our expertise at professional development days, conferences and other events. Participation
is critical to our growth.

Demonstrate our ethics and culture not only in the office, but in our daily lives by being a positive,
active and productive contributor in our respective communities.

Promote the Affinia name where possible, so that other suitable professionals can share in our community, culture and success.

Be professional and respectful at all times when interacting with all members of the Affinia community, without exception.

At Affinia, we do what’s right!

Since TAL first presented the new Affinia concept to the market in October, it says that it has experienced high levels of interest with the largest number of enquiries coming from risk-specialist advisers with practices in the business growth phase.

The new Affinia business is clear in its objectives of becoming the number one choice for risk-specialist advisers, but the focus will first and foremost on building a quality business.
