Phil Anderson

Zurich Financial Services Australia Limited (Zurich) has announced a senior appointment within its Life and Investments business, with Mr. Phil Anderson joining the executive leadership team as Chief Operating Officer.

In the expanded Chief Operating Officer role, Mr. Anderson will lead the Life and Investments customer care proposition across all touchpoints, including claims, underwriting and customer service. Reflective of the central role technology will play in the evolution of service propositions, Mr. Anderson will also assume responsibility for the IT function within the business.

Mr. Anderson joined the Australian business 18 months ago from Zurich’s Regional team in Hong Kong, where he held a number of senior roles spanning underwriting, product development and distribution.

Commenting on the appointment, Mr. Colin Morgan, Chief Executive Officer Life and Investments, said “since joining our Australian operation, Phil has been instrumental in turning our National Underwriting team into one of the most highly respected and award winning teams in the industry”.

“His track record and vision make him the perfect choice to take us on our journey towards true customer intimacy,” said Mr. Morgan.

Mr. Anderson’s appointment is effective immediately.
