The Best for the World list honours the top 10 per cent of all certified B Corporations (B Corps), based on a rigorous and comprehensive assessment of the company’s impact on the planet.

B Corp certification is to sustainable business what Fair Trade certification is to coffee or USDA Organic certification is to milk.

Three Sista’s (Manunda, Queensland) and Australian Ethical Investment (Sydney) achieved the highest honour, named as Best for the World – Overall, having the highest impact amongst 1247 B Corps across the globe.

In addition to these two overall winners, nine other Australian and New Zealand organisations were recognised as category leaders.

Best for the community:

• B Cubed Management Consultants (Vic)
• Our Community Group (Vic)
• Reho Travel (Vic).

Best for the environment:

• Energy for the People (Vic)
• Hive Construction Group (Vic)
• Pangolin Associates (NSW)
• TuShare (NSW).

Best for workers:

• O’Connells OBM (QLD)
• Australian Ethical Investment (NSW)
• SNAKK Media (NZ).

“The Best for the World list highlights the best of an already exceptional field. These companies are redefining success in business by holding themselves to a higher level of accountability and transparency for governance, environmental, community and worker impact.”

There are now 57 certified B Corporations in Australian and New Zealand, and more than 500 companies are currently working through the assessment process.
