The McGrath Foundation has been named as the official charity partner for the upcoming Bloomberg Square Mile Relay in Sydney.

The event, to be held in Darling Harbour on Wednesday, March 16 of this year, joins the established global race series made up of London, Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Dubai events.

Pitching the city’s finest corporate organisations against one another, the Bloomberg Square Mile Relay will see firms competing for pole position as they weave their way through the one-mile (1.6km) Darling Harbour closed running route. As the official charity partner for the event, the McGrath Foundation will receive a $10,000AUD donation to help fund and develop their work across the country.

The McGrath Foundation, established in honour of Jane McGrath, is now one of Australia’s most respected and recognised charities. Focused on raising funds to place McGrath Breast Care Nurses in communities across Australia, the Foundation is also working to increase breast cancer awareness among young people. Today, over 40,000 Australian families have been supported by 110 McGrath Breast Care Nurses nationally.

With a focus on supporting local charities, the winning team will also walk away with $10,000AUD to donate to the charity of their choice.
