As part of Equity Trustees Corporate Trustee Services’ (CTS) previously announced strategy to focus on its trustee and responsible entity operations, the business has restructured its senior management team.

As a result, two senior roles have been created to add support to client relationships as well as fund operations.

Russell Beasley, previously General Manager Fund Services, has been promoted to General Manager – Relationships & Oversight, and Michael Do, previously Senior Manager – Accounting & Tax, Fund Services, has been promoted to General Manager – Fund Operations & Oversight. Rowena Cole will continue as General Manager – Strategy & Operations.

Harvey Kalman, Executive General Manager of CTS, said the changes are part of the ongoing strategy of providing focussed client support and oversight to client partners and their funds.

“These changes strengthen our client support capabilities in key areas and place further emphasis on client education – for instance on regulatory change affecting them and their business.

“Overall our corporate trustee services team has an outstanding track record – almost a quarter of the team has been with Equity Trustees for more that 10 years, and most have over five years with the business.

“This depth and breadth of experience and technical knowledge, as well as our approach in ensuring we understand the latest developments and changes in a complex and demanding area, allows us to provide exemplary client service,” Mr Kalman said.

Mr Beasley has over 20 years experience in the funds management industry and joined Equity Trustees in 2005 as Senior Relationship & Product Manager. Mr Beasley was previously with MLC Investment Management and has also worked with National Australia Funds Management and County Investment Management.

Mr Do joined Equity Trustees in 2014 as Senior Manager – Accounting & Tax, and was previously a manager in financial services at KPMG and Deloitte. Mr Do is a Chartered Accountant and holds bachelor degrees in finance and commerce (accounting) from the University of Adelaide.
