FinFlix is a recently launched business that provides educational videos and resources for use by financial advisers with their clients on a subscription based unique online platform.

It is designed for financial advisers to gain access to a library of videos and multi-media that they can display easily attached as part of to their existing website. FinFlix will incorporate the adviser’s branding into the videos, including logos, colour schemes and disclaimers, for a seamless experience from the user’s perspective.

Creators Shakira Moss and Jenny Pearse, of Doodler and Jenesis Consulting, respectively, believe that the FinFlix platform will help financial advisers provide additional value for their current clients and attract new clients. The set-up process is easy for advisers, requiring them to simply select the videos they like, provide their branding information, and attach the new video site to their existing website. The optimal video player enables the videos to be viewed on any computer or mobile device.

Each video is designed with the end user in mind, featuring animation and engaging content that will educate viewers without losing their interest. Because finance can sometimes be a fairly dry topic, the goal of these videos is to deliver the content in an informative manner that is fresh and entertaining while breaking down complex topics into terms that are simpler for general viewers to understand.

Ms. Moss said, “I wanted to keep the learning aspect of the videos and tools focused on keeping it simple but creative so the adviser doesn’t lose the client in the education journey. The content needs to be engaging but not complicated.”

The goal of this is to help financial advisers to educate their clients while providing a streamlined user experience and do that in a cost effective way. The user will never be able to tell that the video did not come directly from the adviser, thanks to the customisation provided by FinFlix.

Ms. Pearse commented, “It was important to build a platform that allowed a seamless transition to an adviser’s brand. The clients need to feel like they are never leaving their adviser’s website to access these videos and tools. We are extremely excited by what the future holds for advisers using FinFlix and the opportunities it will create as a financial advice tool.”

“At the end of the day this is about ensuring the financial adviser is the go to person for any advice that the potential or existing client may need.” said Ms Pearse. “We are using technology that is easy for everyone to understand to help make that happen.”
