FASEA has been working with ACER to ensure the exam registration process is streamlined, accessible and effective and exam sitting opportunities are optimised.

Marking and results of June exam

Results for the inaugural FASEA June exam will be released in mid-August 2019 following a comprehensive marking approach and analysis.

Extended registration opening for September, December and February examinations

Advisers are invited to register for upcoming exams during the following periods:

September 2019 exam (registrations open from 30 July until 30 August).

December 2019 exam (registrations open from 30 July until 8 November).

February 2020 exam (registrations open 2 December 2019).

New regional locations for exams

FASEA has added new regional locations to provide advisers across Australia with opportunities to sit the exam at many geographical locations.

Eight metropolitan locations will be available for the September and December sittings (Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Darwin, Hobart and Perth). Based on demand, each will have up to five sitting days with up to two sessions a day providing approximately 70 opportunities for advisers to sit the exam in metropolitan locations.

Further regional locations (in addition to Townsville), have been added for the September sittings including the Gold Coast, Cairns, Newcastle, Wollongong, Ballarat and Bunbury. Based on demand each location will have at least two sitting days with up to two sessions a day providing additional opportunities for advisers to sit the exam. Additional regional locations will also be added for the December and February sittings.

“We have been working closely with ACER and industry to expand the geographical and frequency of exam opportunities so as to optimise advisers’ ability to sit the exam and help them comply with the education standard in 2021,” FASEA Chief Executive Officer Stephen Glenfield said.

The exam updates can be found on the FASEA website.
