ANZIIF is calling on members, regulators and other key stakeholders across the insurance industry to provide feedback on the draft loss adjusting qualification (FNS51420 Diploma of Loss Adjusting) and related units, as well as underwriting specific units.

The revised loss adjusting qualification will ensure learners have a clear, streamlined pathway to becoming a chartered loss adjuster, while the underwriting specific units have been updated to reflect current technologies, demand for more technical knowledge and to improve usability and compliance with training product development policy as required.

‘As a long-standing participant on PwC’s Industry Reference Council, ANZIIF is proud to be supporting PwC and the Financial Services IRC to improve training competencies across the insurance sector,’ says Prue Willsford, ANZIIF CEO.

‘ANZIIF worked extensively with AICLA (Australasian Institute of Chartered Loss Adjusters) and PwC to suggest improvements for the new loss adjusting qualification.

‘This is a great opportunity for our industry to publicly review and provide feedback on the draft training products for loss adjusting and underwriting. Thank you to our members who took part in reviewing the Financial Services packages earlier in the year.’

‘We greatly encourage all ANZIIF members, and the wider insurance community to participate in providing feedback, which will significantly contribute to the growth of professional standards in our industry.’

‘The insurance industry continues to experience extensive changes due to regulatory and legislative changes. It’s critical that training requirements in the insurance sector are reviewed to ensure our industry obtains the skills and competencies required to effectively service the needs of our customers.’

ANZIIF strongly encourages all members, regulators and other key stakeholders to provide feedback through the PwC website

Please click ‘Training Product Development’ to download the review of these draft training products.
