The SMSF Association National Conference ticked all the boxes with the two-day event attracting more than 1,100 registrations from every state and territory, over 9,500 hours of sessions viewed and 16,378 total webinar views.

Conference sponsors were also extremely well patronised with 14,597 visits to the virtual exhibition area and 1,307 one-on-one discussions between delegates and with sponsors.

SMSF Association CEO John Maroney says: “It was a great outcome for everyone involved. We were very conscious going into this virtual event knowing just how important the National Conference is to our members, so to get such a positive response is deeply gratifying.

“The feedback from delegates has been positive in every respect – the ease in which they could interact with the platform, the high quality of the content, and how the technology worked seamlessly, allowing them to use multiple devices.

“Being virtual also allowed us to reach individuals who could not travel to past National Conferences, such as those working part time, living in remote areas, or having family responsibilities.

“The following quotes are typical of what we have been receiving from members since the National Conference finished last Thursday.”

“Uncharted waters but executed with aplomb. I thought the presentations were of an extremely high standard.”

“I thought the virtual platform amazing – I genuinely hope you continue to offer it via this medium even if it goes back to face to face next year.”

“This was one of the best – no, the best, conference I have ever attended. Every session gave me food for thought and challenged me. It is an amazing result given the constraints you worked under.”

It’s still not too late to register for the National Conference experience and gain 30+ CPD hours. Registrations are available until 31 March.

Don’t forget to save the date for the next SMSF Association event – the highly anticipated Technical Day on 29 July 2021.
