Count Limited (Count) (ASX: CUP) has announced that following an extensive search process, Tim Martin has been appointed to the Board of the Company.

Hugh Humphrey, Count CEO, said Mr Martin’s appointment was a terrific addition to the Board, highlighting his track record in successful Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A).

“Tim’s deep experience in private equity and investments will be hugely valuable as Count enters the next phase in our ambitious growth strategy. His proven leadership and experience in orchestrating large-scale transactions will help us execute our investments in quality businesses and increase our market share in the accounting and wealth sectors.”

Mr Martin has led numerous aggregations of healthcare practices and understands the due diligence nuances that are key to the long-term success of M&A transactions. His experience in the health and education sectors will bring fresh perspectives to the Company and complement the Board’s existing skill set.

Mr Martin said he was pleased to join the Count Board and was excited about the direction in which the business was heading.

“In recent months Count has successfully launched a new brand and value proposition and completed the acquisition of Affinia from TAL. I’m delighted to be joining at this pivotal time and contributing to the strong momentum of the Company.”

As part of the appointment, Mr Martin will Chair the Acquisitions Committee and be a member of both the Technology and Innovation and the Remuneration and Nominations Committees. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Oxford University and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.

Count promotes diversity and notes that 60% of the Company’s Non-Executive Directors are women.
