Ms Mendis joins the firm’s Melbourne office as a Consultant, and brings more than 15 years experience to the award-winning insurance and health law practice.

With previous experience working in the London insurance market, Ms Mendis advises Australian and overseas insurers, including Lloyd’s syndicates, in the areas of professional indemnity, directors’ and officers’ liability, and employment practices liability. She has particular expertise in the financial and building and construction sectors.

Barry.Nilsson. beat a field of prestigious national nominees to win “Professional Services Firm of the Year” after winning the accolade at last year’s awards.

Now in its 14th year, the ANZIIF awards recognise excellence and achievement by the top performing individuals and businesses in the industry.

The judges commended the firm for its “outstanding level of industry support, thought leadership, industry papers and sponsorship.”
