AdviserLogic is to work with superannuation research provider, SuperRatings to offer financial advisers the ability to thoroughly and extensively research and compare clients’ existing and proposed superannuation arrangements.

“Advisers must meet their obligations under the Best Interests Duty,” said AdviserLogic head of product development Daniel Gara. “When advising on superannuation, this means they must be able to properly and extensively consider the many superannuation options available to their clients. The SuperRatings research tool now allows AdviserLogic users to do this quickly and efficiently.”

Mr Gara said AdviserLogic chose to work with SuperRatings because it offers the breadth of coverage, depth of analysis and level of insight advisers need in order to make decisions about their clients’ superannuation arrangements.

“Efficiency is our obsession,” he said. “We believe the SuperRatings research tool will dramatically reduce the amount of time advisers and support staff spend on entering and extracting client and industry data making the process faster, more thorough and more efficient.”

In the first instance a link will be provided to AdviserLogic users to access data from the Superatings website. In the coming months AdviserLogic will be developed to integrate all the necessary data within the solution. “This means advisers can meet compliance obligations when comparing their clients existing super to recommended super solutions,” Mr Gara said.

SuperRatings has been providing its research tool to public offer and industry super funds for many years and has long-established relationships with a range of industry, retail and corporate super funds. “The established connections SuperRatings have are really important to us,” Mr Gara said. “It means they are able to obtain the data needed by advisers and interpret it in a way that can be compared and implemented easily.”

SuperRatings CEO, Adam Gee, said, “We are pleased to work with AdviserLogic by providing in-depth superannuation fund research, which will assist advisers offer quality advice covering both the retail and not for profit sectors.”

AdviserLogic wins ‘Ease of Use’ award

AdviserLogic Managing Director, Gundeep Sidhu, says the fact that AdviserLogic was specifically designed from an adviser perspective to help advisers cope with the day-to-day functions and challenges of providing advice is, he believes, the overriding reason AdviserLogic took home the Ease of Use Award in the recently-released 2014 Investment Trends May 2014 Planner Technology Report (the Report) based on a survey of 1038 financial planners. The Report found that the number one most common area advisers want their planning software to improve is ease of use.

“We have an obsession with helping advisers be the best in front of both their existing and new clients,” Mr Sidhu says. “Our goal from day one was to not only help make life more efficient and compliant for advisers and their staff, but to also help them identify more opportunities within their existing client base.”

Mr Sidhu says AdviserLogic received the highest user satisfaction ratings for usability, speed, stability and integration with platforms. “These are all things we think are integral to running an efficient practice.”

The Report indicated that 73 per cent of AdviserLogic clients found the AdviserLogic solution to be ‘good’ or ‘very good’ for ease of use. “Our understanding of how advisers work, the roadblocks they can face, their day-to-day needs and the importance of when they need it are things we continually look to improve,” Mr Sidhu says. “We created AdviserLogic to make Customer Relationship Management the central hub and everything else is built around it. We believe this is what makes it so easy for advisers to use and adapt as a key tool.”

Mr Sidhu says advisers also find AdviserLogic an easy system to learn. “They quickly acquire the knowledge required to use the system correctly which means they are forming the correct habits in relation to compliance and day-to-day handling of data,” he says. “This makes a huge difference when managing evolving relationships with a large number of clients.”

Financial planning software house AdviserLogic has announced that they now directly receive 26 investment data feeds covering over 200 platforms.

Head of Product Development, Daniel Gara, says “Over the last couple of years, the AdviserLogic team has established direct relationships and worked diligently with the major platforms to ensure our users receive automatic daily data directly from the source. Not needing to deal with an intermediary has improved the timeliness and quality of data that AdviserLogic users see in their client accounts. Our attitude is that if the platform has an existing data delivery method and any one of our advisers want it, we will gladly make the integration happen through our enhanced data feed framework which can construe and process data irrespective of type or delivery method.”

Mr Gara continues “AdviserLogic’s comprehensive daily reconciliation process means that we now boast a very high level of data accuracy – upward of 99.99%. This gives our users the confidence to generate investment reporting and advice documents without needing to constantly double-check data. Advisers love the increase in efficiency which frees them and their staff up for other tasks making them more profitable.”

“Direct access to the source of data has also enabled AdviserLogic users to obtain more data points, including fee data, which is important in the prevailing FoFA environment.” Mr Gara adds.

The AdviserLogic team continue to work with established and new platforms including insurance companies to make data feed processes efficient and will be releasing additional information regarding these developments in the near future.
