<h3>LGT Crestone has appointed Amanda MacDonald to the role of Head of Sustainability.</h3>
<p>Amanda commenced her role on July 11 2022, and reports to LGT Crestone Wealth Management’s Deputy Chief Investment Officer, Kevin Wan Lum.</p>
<p>Ms MacDonald will manage LGT Crestone’s environmental impact through ESG and sustainability-related initiatives and play a crucial role in ensuring the firm’s core sustainability commitments are maintained and ultimately exceeded.</p>
<p>Kevin Wan Lum welcomed Ms MacDonald, commending her capabilities and long-standing strategic investment performance in relation to ESG.</p>
<p>“We are confident Amanda’s background and expertise will help advance the firm’s sustainability goals. Sustainable investing is a top priority for us, and we look forward to having Amanda lead our efforts to drive long-term environmental change in both our operations and networks.”</p>
<p>Amanda joins LGT Crestone with over 14 years’ experience in the investment industry with a focus on ESG.</p>
<p>She has a demonstrated history in providing strategic advice to clients, particularly in relation to ESG integration, engagement and shareholder activism and embedding these approaches throughout clients’ portfolios.</p>
<p>Prior to joining LGT Crestone, Amanda worked at Perpetual Private in Sydney as an Investment Director, providing strategic wealth advice to Not for Profit clients across Perpetual’s wealth business.</p>
<p>Before her role at Perpetual, Amanda led the Responsible Investment and ESG research function for MLC Advice as a Senior Investment Analyst and brought with her previous client relations experience from Institutional Business Development at Pendal Group.</p>
<p>Amanda holds a Bachelor of Business from the University of Technology Sydney, majoring in Finance and Economics and holds a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University.</p>
<p>Amanda said she is looking forward to leading the sustainability functions at LGT Crestone.</p>

<p>Amanda MacDonald will add further depth to Institutional Distribution and brings over ten years’ industry experience having worked for Pendal, JP Morgan, UBS, and Macquarie Bank amongst others.</p>
<p>James Archer who officially started his role late last year, brings over five years’ experience in funds management having worked for both Challenger and Fidante Partners, among others. He will work closely with Head of Wholesale Xanthe Virtue.</p>
<p>Commenting on the appointments, Managing Director, Strategy and Distribution, Rob Sullivan, said BAM was experiencing unprecedented levels of interest for its institutional and wholesale offerings and the two recent hires were indicative of the boutique manager’s continued growth and focus on delivering high quality service to its clients.</p>
<p>“We’re seeing increased investor interest in our global equities strategies which can be attributed to BAM’s success and proven track record of delivering alpha in times of market volatility and uncertainty.”</p>
<p>For the year to 31 December 2018, the Bell Global Equity Fund (Platform) outperformed its relative benchmark MSCI World ex Australia Index by 5.4%and the Bell Global Emerging Companies Fund (which invests in global small and mid-cap companies) outperformed the MSCI World SMID Index by 10.5%.</p>
<p>“The solid performance of our funds is due to the high-quality calibre of our team and investment strategy. It is with great pleasure that I welcome James and Amanda where they will play a pivotal role in supporting BAM as it continues to attract institutional and retail interest,” said Mr Sullivan.</p>
