In this role, Ms Teh will focus on partnering with clients to deliver ECP’s investment capabilities.

Ms Teh’s appointment comes as ECP Asset Management brings its institutional distribution in-house with the recent appointment of Lachlan Hodgkinson in a similar position. Ms Teh will work closely with Mr Hodgkinson in developing and executing ECP’s distribution strategy.

Ms Teh’s financial services career spans more than 17 years. She joins ECP from Franklin Templeton, where she was head of investment and consultant relations. In this role, she managed relationships with key client groups and was responsible for developing and executing on Franklin Templeton’s business strategy.

Prior to this, Ms Teh held senior strategy and distribution roles at Colonial First State and was also an investment consultant at Willis Towers Watson.

Founder and chairman at ECP Asset Management, Dr Manny Pohl, said Ms Teh has an impressive track record of maintaining and building solid client relationships.

These announcements follow Franklin Templeton’s recent acquisition of Legg Mason which was completed on 31 July 2020. Amy Teh has been appointed to the newly created role of Head of Investment and Consultant Relations. In this role, she will be responsible for managing the firm’s relationships with research houses and investment consultants.

Ms. Teh joins from Colonial First State (CFS) where she most recently held the role of National Manager, Strategy and Implementation. Prior to joining CFS in 2012, she worked as an Investment Consultant and Actuarial Analyst at Willis Towers Watson. Ms. Teh is a CFA charterholder and commenced in her new role on July 2.

In addition, Felicity Walsh has been promoted to Head of Institutional and Alternatives. In this role, she will head up the firm’s institutional distribution business, focusing on the delivery of the firm’s extensive range of investment capabilities, including K2 Advisors. Ms. Walsh most recently served as head of Franklin Templeton Alternatives, Australia, and joined the firm in 2015.

Franklin Templeton Investments Australia Managing Director Matthew Harrison, who joined the firm in January 2018, said, “The firm has a long history of helping institutions and advisers with their investment needs, backed by the deep perspective and resources of a global organisation.
