Leading provider of accounting and SMSF administration software, Class has expanded its registry data and document feed capabilities, introducing an industry-first integration for unlisted investments through Automic, new registry document feeds with MUFG Pension & Market Services, and a direct cash statement feed from the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA).

The enhancements provide SMSF professionals with greater access to trusted investment information within Class, streamlining administration and reducing the need for manual document collection across complex SMSF portfolios.

The announcement comes as SMSF professionals look to leverage automation to enhance productivity, with 44% of SMSF accountants identifying workflow automation as a key capability from software providers. At the same time, unlisted assets continue to grow within SMSFs, with advisers directing 21% of new inflows to active unlisted managed funds and a further 10% to index unlisted managed funds. Class’s direct registry connections introduced during FY25, already cover 97% of ASX-listed companies and provide ownership and holding balances for more than 2,280 listed securities.[1]

The enhanced integration with Automic delivers registry-sourced balances and supporting documents for unlisted holdings directly into Class, extending trusted ownership verification beyond listed securities, enabling SMSF professionals to meet reporting obligations more efficiently, with greater confidence and less manual effort.

In addition, Class has introduced new independently-assured (ASAE3402) registry document feeds with MUFG Pension & Market Services and a new direct-connect document feed from CBA, integrating cash statements from one of Australia’s largest financial institutions directly into Class.

General Manager Product, Class and NowInfinity, Angelique Faes, said the future of SMSF administration will be shaped by connecting trusted data, automation and processes to reduce manual effort and empower practices to operate with greater confidence.

“The opportunity isn’t simply access to more data. It’s bringing trusted information directly into the workflows SMSF professionals rely on every day, reducing their time spent sourcing and validating information and creating more capacity to focus on delivering better outcomes for their clients.

“As portfolios become more complex, SMSF professionals need greater visibility across both listed and unlisted investments. By extending ownership verification and registry-driven workflows to unlisted investments, we’re continuing to build trusted automation that enables professionals’ complete compliance and reporting obligations with more efficiency.

The new capabilities are part of Class’s ongoing focus on enabling productivity for financial professionals through innovative solutions, integrated data and automation. By continuing to streamline investment administration, Class is reducing complexity, enabling SMSF professionals to support their clients and scale their practices.
