BT Financial Group (BTFG) has recently launched a new website for advisers, bringing together in one place its complete practice management offer which advisers require for their day-to-day roles.

Known as BT Adviser Services or BTAS, this easy-to-use portal designed with adviser input provides a gateway to technical information and advice. Already the new website is attracting good usage with more than 800 different users visiting the site each day and over 12,000 individual page views each day.

According to Mr Wes Hall, Head of Practice Management Advice, BTAS gives advisers the specialist advice information they need to perform more efficiently and productively.

“BTAS really puts everything a planner needs at their fingertips. Whether it’s finding out the latest insights on our model portfolios from our highly regarded research team, technical support on detailed superannuation strategies or the latest policy information, BTAS will help you.”

Included on the website is access to expertise on superannuation, social security, retirement planning, tax aged care and estate planning. Advisers can send through questions to the BT research team and even apply for one-off product approvals online.

Advice documents, strategy text and templates can all be also housed on the site as well as everything advisers need to know about their compliance obligations. Learning and development events, CPD points, news and bulletins, and archived past articles are also available. Advisers can also access a range of specialist business advisers.

“In this market, advisers want tools that allow them to focus on their relationships with clients and work in ways that are both smarter and faster,” Mr Hall says. “We support these goals and partner with planners to develop and create what they need to do this.”

BTFG is also rolling out across all its advice channels (including Westpac Financial Planning, St.George Financial Planning, Bank of Melbourne and Bank of SA, Licensee Select and BT Select) a new app for advisers to provide them with up-to-date information for client meetings and to facilitate better client conversations.

Launched to Securitor advisers in March, the app, known as Facts and Figures provides advisers with a single reference point for all current tax, superannuation, retirement and social security rates and thresholds that are relevant in financial planning strategies.

The appointment is part of BTFG’s strategy to maximise the super opportunity and capture the lion’s share of the $1.3 trillion super industry.

“Superannuation has been called-out as core to the Westpac Group’s strategy, given its critical importance in helping Australian’s prepare for a better retirement and the expected growth in the industry,” general manager of superannuation Deanne Stewart said.
