Synchron has appointed Emma Crothers as SA/NT State Manager. Based in Adelaide, Mrs Crothers most recently ran her own consultancy, Fusion Practice Solutions, which provided project management and administration support services to financial planning businesses.

Announcing the appointment at a bringing together of Synchron advisers in Adelaide last week, Synchron Director Don Trapnell said, “Emma’s long experience working with financial advisers and the fact that she is a Synchron NextGen graduate, means she has an excellent understanding of the challenges and ambitions of Synchron advisers. We are looking forward to working with her as she continues to grow and develop our adviser force in South Australia and the Northern Territory.”

Mrs Crothers started her financial services career in 2004 with the Bank of South Australia, before moving on to a financial planning assistant role, followed by a financial planning practice support role, with Professional Investment Services. She then worked in client development management with AIA for more than five years before launching her own consultancy. She has received multiple employer awards and was a finalist in Money Management’s 2018 BDM of the Year awards.

“I am super excited to be joining the Synchron team and begin working with the SA/NT advisers,” she said.

Mrs Crothers’ appointment follows the tragic passing of Synchron’s well-respected former NT/SA State Manager, Chris Regenass. In extending his sympathy to the Regenass family at that time, Mr Trapnell said Synchron had lost one of its own, a member of the Synchron family, who would be profoundly missed.

Mr Regenass succeeds Synchron’s former SA/NT State Manager, Sheridan Wright who has resigned in order to accept a senior management role with Perpetual.

Based in Adelaide, Mr Regenass has a 22-year history of working with self-employed financial planning businesses in SA and NT and has held previous roles with Charter Financial Planning and AXA.

Announcing the appointment of Mr Regenass today, Synchron Director Don Trapnell said, “Chris has developed excellent relationships and built an impressive network of contacts over his long career in the financial services industry and has engaged extensively with industry associations such as the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and the Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) to help promote our profession.

“He shares the same proactive, collaborative and constructive approach we take at Synchron and we are confident he is the ideal person to build on the excellent work already undertaken by Sheridan.”

Mr Regenass officially commences duties with Synchron on Wednesday 1 November.

“We welcome Chris to the Synchron team and wish Sheridan all the best in her new role,” Mr Trapnell said.

Synchron created the SA/NT State Manager position earlier this year in a move that made Synchron the only licensee with manager representation in every state of Australia.

At that time, Mr Trapnell said, “Our expansion clearly illustrates our commitment to the long-term growth of Synchron as a successful, ongoing business providing quality financial advice to Australian consumers,” he said. “We are now on a mission to increase our footprint and to bring to our SA/NT advisers the full range of support experienced by other Synchron advisers.

“In appointing a SA/NT state manager, we are aiming to replicate the success Synchron has enjoyed in other states.”
