Venardos will join State Street to support the growth strategy of the business, which involves expanding our APAC presence across Transition Management, Currency Management, Execution Solutions and Exposure Solutions.

Commenting on the appointment, James Woodward, head of Portfolio Solutions for State Street Global Markets in Asia Pacific, said: “We are thrilled to welcome John to our team. Venardos most recently worked for Russell Investment Management as Managing Director, Head of Implementation Asia Pacific.

Venardos starts his new role at State Street on 6th June. Based in Sydney, he will report directly to James Woodward.

He is a Senior Fellow at the Institute of Accountants, a Fellow Member of FINSIA and a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Graham Elliott

State Street has announced the appointment of Elliot Graham as a Managing Director in the bank’s Portfolio Solutions team, heading the transition management business.

Based in Sydney, Graham will lead State Street’s experienced Transition Management team in the Asia Pacific region and work with asset owners and managers across the Asia Pacific region to restructure portfolios, access liquidity and provide exposure solutions.

An industry professional with more than 20 years’ experience, Graham was most recently with Macquarie Securities and previously with NAB Asset Management, JP Morgan and Mercer Investment Consulting.

Graham will join the State Street Global Markets team in November. His addition follows the recent hire of Damian Hoult and represents a continuing investment in the agency execution business.

In this position, Hoult will work with asset managers and asset owners to identify where State Street’s multi-asset class execution capabilities can add value as an outsourced service.

Based in Sydney, Hoult will work with clients across the Asia Pacific region and will be responsible for developing sales strategies as well as contributing to the continued development of the outsourced trading product at State Street.

An industry professional with more than 25 years’ experience, Hoult was most recently CEO of Basis Global Analytics and prior to this, global head of Trading and Execution Services at Macquarie Securities where he oversaw global portfolio trading, electronic execution and transition management. Before that, he was Asia Pacific head of Agency Execution at State Street Global Markets.

Hoult commenced the role on Monday, 17th May.
