Eftsure, the payment assurance layer for finance, has launched in Singapore, extending its payment verification infrastructure into one of Asia’s leading financial and business hubs. The move continues the international growth of a now-global fintech provider, established in Australia, and gives finance teams a continuously verified source of payment data to govern how money moves across their domestic and international vendor networks.

For Australian organisations, the launch matters well beyond Singapore. Many run high-volume vendor payments across the Asia-Pacific from centralised finance teams, and Singapore sits at the centre of those cross-border flows as a major regional hub for trade and commerce. Extending verification into that market gives finance teams consistent control over payments wherever their vendors are based.

The timing reflects a live risk at home. Payment redirection scams cost Australians $167 million in 2025, a 9.3% increase on the prior year, according to the ACCC’s Targeting Scams report, and business email compromise remains a persistent threat as AI makes impersonation cheaper and more convincing.

Eftsure gives finance teams a continuously verified source of payment data, rather than one-off checks at onboarding. It confirms the payment details before money moves, and monitors vendor data for changes over time. Verification combines layered methods, from business identity checks to anomaly detection and expert analyst review.

The same verification applies across every place money leaves the business, from procure-to-pay and payroll to payment flows such as insurance claims, helping ensure funds reach the right payee or beneficiary.

Eftsure’s verification infrastructure spans more than 190 countries and territories, covering 85% of the world’s banked population and supporting local business and payment conventions in each market. The global verification capability that multinational organisations already rely on as their finance control tower now extends across their vendor networks in Singapore.

Karthik Manimozhi, Global President, Growth and Markets at Eftsure, said: “AI has made fraud cheap to produce and truth expensive to verify. CFOs are still trying to keep control of payments while contending with synthetic instructions, human error, and data scattered across disconnected systems. In a financial hub like Singapore, that pressure compounds with every cross-border transaction.

“Manual checks and callbacks were designed for a world where deception took effort and cost money. Trust now has to sit inside the infrastructure itself, validating payment data before money moves, and that is what we provide.

“This is a broader operational challenge than fraud risk alone. Verifying the payee, the amount, and the timing on every payment also catches the errors and duplicate payments that quietly drain cash and margin, which means embedded trust becomes savings the business can measure.”

Jon Soldan, Chief Executive Officer of Eftsure, said: “Finance leaders are expected to move faster, even as they tighten their governance and audit controls. That depends on confidence in the data behind every payment. Eftsure gives organisations a way to continuously monitor payments at scale, helping reduce payment risk while strengthening the controls that support finance, audit and the wider business.”

Andy Thiss, Senior Vice President and General Manager at Eftsure, said: “Many organisations already operate across vendors in multiple countries, but their verification processes are often fragmented and heavily manual. Our launch in Singapore gives finance teams access to the same global payment verification network trusted by thousands of organisations worldwide.”

The move into Singapore caps a decade of growth for one of Australia’s homegrown fintech successes. Founded in Sydney in 2014, Eftsure became the market leader across Australia and New Zealand and has been named to the Australian Financial Review Fast 100 for three consecutive years, ranking 43rd among the country’s fastest-growing companies in 2025. It has since expanded internationally, acquiring France’s Sis ID in 2025 and launching a global enterprise offering across Europe, the United States, and the Asia-Pacific. Eftsure now operates across Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and France, and counts some of Australia’s and New Zealand’s largest enterprises, universities, and government organisations among its customers.

Today Eftsure supports more than 4,000 organisations and safeguards more than A$288 billion in B2B payments each year.

Eftsure, the global market leader in payment fraud prevention, has today announced a significant merger with France-based Sis ID. The deal means the combined entity is now providing payment protection in major markets around the world including Australia and New Zealand, the US, Europe, China and India. Global payment verification coverage is expected to be achieved later this year.

The move will see Eftsure and Sis ID become the world’s largest business payment protection platform, enabling organisations to validate more suppliers and protect more business payments in more markets around the world. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

The deal comes at a time when businesses are looking to minimise vulnerabilities in a heightened risk environment, with monthly customer data showing the largest ever volume of known fraud attempts since Eftsure was founded in 2014. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has reported that payment redirection scams were up by 67% to $153m in 2024.

“Fraud tactics are increasingly sophisticated and difficult to detect, with cybercriminals using artificial intelligence tools to produce realistic fake documents and target businesses at scale,” Eftsure CEO, Jon Soldan, said.“Eftsure and Sis ID share the common goal of preventing these fraudsters from getting a payout. Combining our resources means we’ll be able to verify more vendors and protect more payments in more markets around the world, all while keeping pace with a rapidly evolving threat landscape.”

Sis ID CEO, Laurent Sarrat, said the deal made sense because both organisations were focused on helping businesses to build cross-border defences.

“Cybercrime is a global problem and it demands global solutions. Sis ID and Eftsure share a common mission to create collaborative cybercrime solutions that enable business leaders to focus on other priorities,” Sarrat said.

“Sis ID has been working for years to deliver global coverage and verify as many payments as possible. Together with Eftsure, we’re well-positioned to offer guaranteed protection for every payment in every market.”

The merger brings together more than 20 years’ experience of business payment fraud prevention, a customer base of more than 3,500 organisations, and support offices across Australia, the US and France. This positions the merged entity to service a greater number of large enterprises, especially those that manage global supply chains.

“Finding a company so closely aligned in values and vision is rare,” Soldan said. “We share the same perspective on fraud prevention, operational excellence, and what the industry needs to progress. We’re incredibly excited about our shared future and our commitment to serving customers on a global scale.”

Eftsure and Sis ID will continue to drive growth and provide exceptional customer support in their respective regions while working to integrate their brands.

Eftsure has protected payments worth more than $840b since launching in 2014, signing up high-profile customers and ranking as one of the fastest-growing companies in Australia according to the Australian Financial Review.
