Multi boutique funds manager Warakirri Asset Management, has announced the appointment of Emmanuel (Mani) Papakonstantinos as Head of Wholesale, whose focus will be on leading the expansion of the firm’s market presence and relationships with consultants, key dealer groups and platforms.

Reporting to Warakirri’s Head of Distribution, Stuart Devlin, Mr. Papakonstantinos joins the firm as it continues to broaden its distribution footprint alongside the addition of new investment capabilities to its line-up. 

Most recently, Warakirri announced that it had partnered with integrated property company LongView to help distribute the second iteration of its Australian residential home equity investments fund which provides exposure to established residential property without requiring investors to purchase individual property outright.  This follows the firm’s launch of a Global Small Companies Fund in the second half of 2025 in conjunction with San Diego (US) based ClariVest Asset Management.

Mani brings to the role 20 years of experience in financial services working across financial advice, business development and investment research. He joins Warakirri from Copia Investment Partners where he was a senior member of the distribution team.  He has also worked in distribution roles at SG Hiscock and Company and Equity Trustees and in investment research roles at AMP and AXA Australia.

Mani Papakonstantinos has over 13 years’ experience in the investment industry with roles spanning across distribution, research, and advice. Prior to joining Copia Investment Partners, Mani worked as a Distribution Manager at SG Hiscock & Company servicing the retail and institutional space. He has also held roles at Equity Trustees as a Key Account Manager and AMP as an Investment Research Manager.

Mani Papakonstantinos

Mani Papakonstantinos has joined Equity Trustees Limited’s (EQT) funds distribution business as key account manager, with responsibility for further building EQT’s relationships with financial advisers in Victoria and West Australia.

Mr Papakonstantinos joins from AMP where he was investment research manager. He has also worked at AXA Australia as investment research analyst and business development consultant, and at ANZ as a financial planner.

David Myers, head of sales at EQT, says that Mr Papakonstantinos’ broad range of experience in the financial services industry was particularly attractive.

“Mani brings a great wealth of technical investment knowledge to the role, with insight across all asset classes, as well as asset allocation and creating portfolio solutions for advisers.

“In the ever-changing financial planning environment, EQT believes that providing a high level of support and assistance to financial planners is crucial. Mani will be instrumental in ensuring we continue to provide the highest quality service to advisers,” Mr Myers said.

Mr Papakonstantinos holds a master of applied finance from Macquarie University, Melbourne, a bachelor of law/economics (majoring in finance) from La Trobe University, and a diploma in financial planning from Kaplan.
