Edney Ryan Wealth Management, the advice arm of Edney Ryan Group, will merge with Minchin Moore Private Wealth, bringing together two established firms on Sydney’s lower north shore with a shared commitment to high-quality, long-term financial advice.

Both businesses have built strong reputations for working closely with individuals and families, as well as foundations and institutions, and are known for their disciplined, client-focused approach. The merged firm will operate under the Minchin Moore brand and Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL).

The combination reflects a natural alignment between the two teams, with similar values, advice philosophies and client relationships at the core of each business.

Mark Minchin, Managing Partner at Minchin Moore, said the merger is grounded in the compatibility of the two firms.

“This is about bringing together two businesses that already think in very similar ways about advice and client relationships,” he said. “We’ve each built firms we’re proud of, with a strong focus on doing the right thing for clients over the long term. By coming together, we can build on that foundation and continue to deliver consistent, high-quality advice for the families and organisations we serve.

“Our goal at Minchin Moore is to build a truly generational advice practice that provides continuity not only across market cycles but across generations of families, and our merger with Edney Ryan Wealth Management strengthens the platform that supports our clients,” he said.

“The team at Edney Ryan Wealth share our values, professional ethos and advice philosophy, and our client bases are very well aligned. This is an exciting partnership for our clients, people and business.”

Kate O’Brien, Managing Director of Edney Ryan Wealth Management, said the decision to merge was driven by a desire to strengthen what both firms already do well.

“We’ve always placed a strong emphasis on relationships, trust and thoughtful advice,” she said.

“Minchin Moore shares that same approach, which made this a natural fit. The merger allows us to combine our experience and depth; while staying true to the way we’ve always worked with clients.”

The combined business will continue to focus on private wealth advice, while Edney Ryan Group will remain a separate business specialising in accounting, legal and mortgage services. The two firms will maintain a close working relationship, providing clients with access to a broader range of complementary expertise where needed.

The merged firm will have a presence across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and regional New South Wales, supporting clients with a team of experienced advisers and professionals.
