FNZ, a global wealth management platform, and Centric, the adviser-led investment platform of leading financial advisory firm Findex, today announced the extension of their strategic partnership for a further five years.

The renewed partnership includes a significant program of modernisation to position Centric as a market-leading, adviser-led platform. Delivered jointly by FNZ and Findex, the program will support Centric’s transition to FNZ’s latest market-leading global platform, a scalable and high-performing end-to-end technology solution proven in multiple markets worldwide. This initiative reflects FNZ and Findex’s shared vision to advance adviser-led wealth management in Australia, drawing on FNZ’s global innovation to deliver lasting value for advisers and clients.

The modernisation effort is designed with advisers and their clients at its core. It will deliver a more consistent and innovative platform experience, ensure access to global updates, and bring greater alignment between platform capability and evolving client expectations. The uplift will also strengthen digital-first capability and operational workflows, while setting the foundation for sustained innovation and growth in adviser-led wealth management in Australia.

FNZ will continue to provide end-to-end services to Centric, including execution, clearing and settlement, platform technology, contact centre, administration and custody. This breadth of capability will allow advisers and their clients to access a seamless platform experience across superannuation, retirement and wealth.

As part of this upgrade, advisers are set to benefit from market-leading technology that delivers significant improvements in productivity and efficiency. The FNZ global platform has demonstrated these gains, achieving a 90% improvement in onboarding efficiency. Advisers can be onboarded in just 2.5 minutes, new investors in an average of 4.5 minutes, and personal details can be updated in as little as 30 seconds, giving advisers more time to focus on building client relationships and delivering better outcomes.

Anthony Habis, Group Head of Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa & Group Chief Commercial Officer, FNZ, said: “Our long-term partnership with Findex reflects our shared vision to make wealth management more accessible, transparent and personalised.”

“Australia is a priority market for FNZ, and by bringing our proven global technology to the Centric platform we are equipping advisers with market-leading technology that enhances their ability to serve clients today and into the future, while demonstrating how innovation in Australia can set the standard for adviser-led wealth management globally.”

Martin Morris, Head of Centric, said: “Centric is an adviser-led platform designed to put advisers and their clients at the centre of everything we do. This program of modernisation represents a decisive step forward, ensuring our advisers have access to the best technology, streamlined workflows and a resilient platform experience.”

“Together with FNZ, we are strengthening our ability to deliver greater value, agility and innovation to clients across Australia.”

After announcing record platform growth in its quarterly and annual results and the appointment of ex-Powerwrap chairman Anthony Wamsteker as its new CEO, Praemium is positioning for its next phase of growth with additional executive responsibility changes.

In the past year Praemium has experienced growth in FUA of 223% from organic sales growth and the Powerwrap acquisition. Praemium provides administration and reporting solutions to around 25% of the $600 billion advised Private Wealth wholesale client market and has a strong and growing position in the advised retail IFA.

Mat Walker, Praemium’s Chief Commercial Officer, who has been responsible for product, marketing and sales will add business strategy to his responsibilities, working closely with Wamsteker. Martin Morris, Praemium’s Head of Distribution, will be promoted to the Executive Leadership Team of the business and assume full responsibility for sales as Chief Distribution Officer.

“With the acquisition of Powerwrap and investment in sales, service and operations over the past two years we are well positioned to capitalise on the strong momentum we have built and to deliver continued growth. While we’ve had a clear market strategy driving our direction, with the recent review our international business, there’s an opportunity to enhance Praemium’s domestic strategy to build on this growth. Since Mat joined the business at the end of 2017, he’s played a key role in developing Praemium’s market positioning and re-branding, overall platform and product value proposition and strategic investment in sales. During this time, Martin has built and led the Praemium Distribution Team and has been instrumental in growing the number of advisers using our platform and his thought leadership pieces have raised Praemium’s brand in the market, making these changes a natural evolution for the business.” Wamsteker said.
