<h3>Schroders Australia has appointed Pierre Wu as fixed income and multi-asset investment director. He will report to Schroders head of product, solutions and client delivery, Natalie Morcos, and will be based in Sydney.</h3>
<p>In this role, Mr Wu will be responsible for overseeing investment product strategy and development in the fixed income and multi-asset teams.</p>
<p>Mr Wu has two decades of experience in the financial services industry across investment management, manager research and consulting.</p>
<p>He joins Schroders from AMP, where he was an investment manager responsible for investment strategy development, manager selection and portfolio construction across the firm’s fixed income portfolios. He was also the lead strategist tasked with sharing fixed income and credit views at the fortnightly asset allocation forums.</p>
<p>Mr Wu’s experience also includes roles at van Eyk Research, IOOF Investment Management, and State Street Global Advisors.</p>
<p>Ms Morcos said Mr Wu’s experience across investment management and his knowledge of fixed income and multi-asset was particularly attractive to Schroders and makes him a good fit for the team.</p>
<p>“Pierre&#8217;s expertise will be instrumental in helping drive our investment strategies, evolve our product set, and in delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients,” Ms Morcos says.</p>
<p>“Investment strategy development, manager selection, and portfolio construction are critical components of our business, and we are looking forward to having Pierre join us to bolster these capabilities.”</p>
<p>Mr Wu holds a Master of Commerce, with a major in advanced information systems from UNSW as well as a Bachelor of Commerce with majors in finance and business law, also from UNSW. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.</p>

<h3>Schroders has appointed Anne-Sophie Williams as investment director to its Equities product team. She will report to head of product and solutions, Natalie Morcos, and will be based in Sydney.</h3>
<p>In this role, Ms Williams will engage with clients to represent Schroders’ equity funds and strategies, highlighting their performance, positioning and investment approach. She will lead product strategy efforts to design customised equity-based solutions in partnership with the Investment and Solutions teams, including accelerating Schroders’ Australian equities biodiversity strategy and SMA development.</p>
<p>Ms Williams has 12 years’ experience in the financial services industry across investment management, client relations and strategy. She joins from BlackRock, where she was an active equities product strategist – a position she held for four years.</p>
<p>Prior to this, Ms Williams was an investment writer at Magellan Financial Group and worked in investment communications at QBE Insurance. She started her career in financial services as an investment specialist at AXA Investment Managers in London and Paris.</p>
<p>Ms Morcos said: “Anne-Sophie’s proven experience across product strategy, distribution, product development, and client engagement at both a local and global level was particularly attractive to Schroders.</p>
<p>“Her extensive asset class experience, in Australian equities as well as global equities, fundamental and quantitative equities, fixed income, listed infrastructure and investment solutions, make her a good fit for the team,” Ms Morcos said.</p>
<p>The appointment follows the launch of the Schroder Australian Equity Long Short Fund last year and the April 2022 appointments of Adam Alexander and Ben Chan to head the concentrated growth Australian equities strategy. It also coincides with a period of strong performance for the Schroder Wholesale Australian Equity Fund and Schroder Equity Opportunities Fund<sup>[1]</sup>.</p>
<p>Ms Williams has a Master of Commerce, with a major in applied finance, from École Supérieure de Commerce Et de Management (ESCEM) in France and has an Investment Management Certificate from CFA UK.</p>
