Crowe Horwath has continued its senior hiring blitz with the appointment of four new Principals to the firm aimed at meeting increasing demand for customs, international trade and consulting services for small to medium enterprises (SMEs) and larger corporates.
The new hires follow the recruitment of 13 Principals in the past year as Crowe Horwath continues its drive to cement its leadership position in the SME market.
The four new Principals are Russell Wilkinson (Customs) and Rahavan Yoganathan (Corporate Finance) located in the Sydney office, and Kylee Valentine (Business Advisory) and John Swete Kelly (Business Advisory) located in the Brisbane office.
Darren O’Brien, Chief Executive Officer of Crowe Horwath’s Sydney office said the recent hires expand Crowe Horwath’s skill set and client servicing capacity as the needs of SMEs and larger corporates continue to grow.
“As our client base becomes more sophisticated, we need to evolve to meet these demands. Russell is an example of this evolution as we are seeing growing demand for customs and international trade advice. A technical expert with strong commercial direction, Russell has a track record in producing results for clients having most recently saved millions in an extensive client review,” Mr O’Brien said.
Mr Yoganathan’s appointment expands Crowe Horwath’s corporate strategy services, reflecting the firm’s commitment to support the growth of its clients. Working with public and private companies across a wide variety of sectors, Mr Yoganathan brings over 13 years’ professional services experience with a focus on operational and strategic change management. In addition to this, the new appointment bolsters our mergers and acquisitions team with an added focus on both due diligence and transaction services.
“Rahavan’s experience across both blue chip public companies and SMEs is a great fit for our client base, looking for streamlining of operations or strategic acquisitions. Many of his projects have led to tangible efficiency gains which directly impact a client’s bottom line and we look forward to him delivering similar outcomes to Crowe Horwath’s growing client base,” he said.
With years of experience working with SMEs, Ms Valentine and Mr Swete Kelly also bring corporate strategy skills and experience. Ms Valentine was previously a small business owner which gives her first-hand understanding of the challenges faced by Crowe Horwath’s clients. This same passion is shared by Mr Swete Kelly, who brings expertise in understanding business metrics and qualitative factors that drive future growth.
“It’s an exciting time for the firm with so many senior hires recently. The firm is set to continue its growth path and we look forward to the contributions from our four new Principals,” Mr O’Brien concluded.
