Jonathan Ayres has been appointed the first head of the new Bank of Melbourne Private.
General Manager of Private Wealth at BT Financial Group, Jane Watts, said she was delighted to have Jonathan on board to drive the growth of Bank of Melbourne Private in Victoria.
“Jonathan has a proven track record in wealth management. In particular, he has a strong private banking background, strategic financial advisory expertise and a deep understanding of wealth management and the needs of high net worth clients.”
Melbourne-born Jonathan comes from National Australia Bank where he spent more than ten years in senior roles including as head of financial planning for NAB Private and as a regional executive. Most recently, Jonathan was a senior investment specialist with NABInvest.
Jonathan said he found the new Bank of Melbourne brand compelling and was excited to be leading Bank of Melbourne Private.

Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Business Degree in Enterprise Development from La Trobe University.
