<h3>Most of us use some type of Google product everyday – whether it be their market leading search engine, watching a video on YouTube (Google owned) or finding our way with Google maps.</h3>
<p>Whilst each of these services can be used ‘anonymously’, increasingly there are major benefits in actually creating your own Google account, allowing an enhanced level of service from some Google products, and opening up access to a whole world of subscriber-only services.</p>
<p>The beauty of setting up a Google account (which is free) is its portability across their world of services. Your Google account becomes your single account across:</p>
<ul>
<li>Google search (allowing more personalised search results)</li>
<li>Google Chrome (allowing a more tailored browsing experience)</li>
<li>YouTube (allowing you to upload content and create and edit your own channel)</li>
<li>Google places (allowing you to control if and how your business appears in Google Maps)</li>
<li>Google Plus (one of the fastest growing social platforms, which also allows you to use their Google hangout video facility)</li>
<li>Gmail (free email)</li>
<li>Google Docs (a free suit of common business templates)</li>
</ul>
<p>A Google account also allows you access to lesser known (and free) services such as Google analytics, which allows you to get in-depth reporting on your website, assisting with search engine optimisation, and Google Alerts, an email alert service which is a quick and easy way to monitor online mentions; either of you and your business, or on a specific topic.</p>
