Global real estate heavyweight, TIAA Henderson Real Estate (TH Real Estate), has further strengthened its local team with the appointment of William Keaveney as Senior Real Estate Analyst.
In the newly created role, Keaveney will be responsible for providing analytical support, research and analysis across core functions of the business, including equity and debt real estate investment. Keaveney will work closely with Stephen Philp, TH Real Estate’s Head of Capital Transactions in Australia.
The appointment of Keaveney will build TH Real Estate’s capability in regard to analysis of new and existing investments in Australia and the Asia region.
Keaveney joins TH Real Estate from Challenger, where he was a Senior Asset Analyst for the real estate business, providing analysis and support services to property for 11 years.
New office to accommodate expanding local team
Keaveney’s appointment comes as TH Real Estate continues to grow its broader Asia-Pacific business. This month, TH Real Estate will move into a new 304 sq m office space in Sydney’s Gateway building at Circular Quay, to accommodate the growing team.
The new space will be shared with parent organisation TIAA-CREF, a US-based financial services group that provides advice and financial services to US employees working in academic, medical, cultural, governmental and research fields.
Nick Evans, TH Real Estate Executive Director and Head of Australia, says: “We are delighted William has chosen to join us and support our Transactions team. His understanding of real estate investment, extensive contacts, and experience in asset and financial analysis make him a valuable addition to our local business.
“This appointment is testament to our business strategy to build a sustainable, successful business in Australia over the long-term, and we look forward to growing the team further in the months and years ahead.”
Established in Australia in April 2014, TH Real Estate has been quick to build an impressive portfolio of Australian real estate assets approaching AUD $1bn.
The real estate specialist has also advised some of Australia’s largest institutional investors on their international real estate investments, including AustralianSuper and the FutureFund.
