In a direct response to adviser requests, TAL has partnered with leading global agency We Are Social to create adviser specific Social Media webinars to help advisers implement social media strategies in their business.
TAL General Manager, Retail Distribution Niall McConville said TAL was committed to delivering meaningful and relevant education to advisers and the new webinars are the latest addition to the TAL Risk Academy.
“Advisers told us they wanted to learn more about how social media can help their businesses and the response has been overwhelming. Each webinar has capacity for 200 advisers. The first two sessions filled within 24 hours and we subsequently added a third webinar that filled equally fast.
“To meet adviser demand, we will provide advisers more social media sessions early next year plus an intensive LinkedIn Master Class. Further, we will have follow up face to face sessions to cement the webinar learnings in addition to providing a comprehensive post-engagement toolkit for advisers.
“Advisers are evolving their businesses from traditional ways of generating leads and referrals, and incorporating social media and other new technologies to engage their clients. Working on your business is as important as in your business, advisers know this – particularly as they begin to work with younger generations whose lives are intrinsically linked to social media,” Mr McConville said.
The TAL social media webinars provide insights in how to use social media to connect with potential clients and existing clients and best practice online activity. The sessions are very practical and designed to provide benefits to advisers regardless of their social media knowledge or current level of engagement.
“Australia is digitally savvy, with 89% of Australians using the internet and 74% are on smartphones. Social media is a business tool and advisers already know this. Seventy five percent of advisers use at least one social network to grow their business. The webinars will help extend knowledge on known social networks which are continually updating and evolving while introducing new channels,” Mr McConville said.
The Social Media webinars are just one of a number of initiatives TAL is driving out to help advisers with business efficiencies and new capabilities as part of the TAL Commitments.
“The webinars have been well received and we encourage advisers to continue to provide their feedback and insights in how we can better help them.”
