Cromwell Funds Management Limited (Cromwell) has announced the Cromwell Phoenix Opportunities Fund (the Fund) has closed to further investment, after reaching the self-imposed cap of $40 million.
The benchmark-unaware Fund provides its investors diversification by investing in listed microcaps, predominately outside the ASX 300.
As at 31 December 2017, the Fund had returned 22.3 percent p.a. since inception in 2011 (after fees and costs).
Hamish Wehl, Head of Retail Funds Management at Cromwell, said the Fund’s performance and quality management had been a consistent drawcard for investors.
“The Fund attracted inflows from retail investors seeking exposure to quality companies outside the main ASX indices. The investment team is highly skilled in analysing companies and finding hidden value.
“The Fund’s capacity constraint allows the Phoenix Portfolios investment team to remain nimble in the market and maintain its strategic advantage over competitors,” Mr Wehl said.
The top-performing Cromwell Phoenix Property Securities Fund recently reopened to investors for a limited time. Please contact the Cromwell Funds Management team for more information: 1300 276 693 / www.cromwell.com.au.
