Nominations have opened for the Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) Excellence in Education Award (the Award), presented in conjunction with partner Asteron Life. The Award recognises advisers who are demonstrating a commitment to education to better serve their clients and the industry.
Philip Kewin, AFA CEO, said in a time of intense change the Award champions those advisers not only using knowledge to establish trust and certainty with clients, but also to continue to help raise the professional standards of the advice industry.
“In the past year alone we have seen an incredible amount of change, however what remains certain is the need for education to establish trust and certainty to an advice relationship. It is then up to the adviser to translate this through their skills, values, beliefs and habits. Through our partnership with Asteron Life, the AFA is proud to be recognising the advisers going above and beyond to ensure they are best equipped to provide great advice to more Australians.”
Daniel Waller, Head of Wealth and Life Intermediaries, Suncorp Group, said, “This Award recognises the achievements of advisers who demonstrate a strong commitment to their ongoing professional development. As our industry continues to evolve, we’ll continue to see a greater emphasis on education focused on lifting professional standards, improving client outcomes and enhancing the reputation of our industry. We’d encourage advisers who have undertaken further studies to share their experiences by submitting a nomination today.”
