Neuberger Berman’s Emerging Markets Equity Select Fund (EME Select Fund) has been awarded a ‘Recommended’ rating from independently-owned investment research house Zenith.
The Fund, which was launched in August, aims to achieve long-term capital growth by investing in emerging market equities issued by companies that are listed or traded globally, have sustainable cash flow growth and are trading at attractive valuations.
Zenith’s report noted the EME Select Fund was an “appealing offering with a solid track record” and that “Neuberger Berman’s breadth of investment resources provides the investment team with a competitive advantage”.
About the fund
- The Fund is designed for retail investors who want exposure to emerging markets through a disciplined investment process. It adopts a flexible strategy and invests in companies and industries that will benefit from emerging markets’ domestic growth, and not just the export and commodity growth-oriented companies that have historically led these markets.
- Unlike other EME funds, the Fund can also selectively invest in companies outside the benchmark and assesses material ESG factors to identify high quality companies with long term risk.
- As of 30 September 2019, Neuberger Berman’s Emerging Market Equity team managed over US$7 billion of global assets.
