Atrium Investment Management bolsters Investment team with the appointment of Will Morgan as Portfolio Manager, Private Markets 

Atrium Investment Management (Atrium) has today announced the appointment of William (Will) Morgan to its Investment team in the newly created role of Portfolio Manager, Private Markets.     

The new position extends Atrium’s capability in private markets that has long played a role in enabling Atrium’s multi-asset portfolios to achieve the consistent, Risk Targeted outcomes they are known for.  

In this newly created role Will will work alongside Atrium Chief Investment Officer, Tony Edwards, in the management and growth of Atrium’s private markets portfolio. His main responsibilities will include strengthening the investment, governance and operational frameworks around Atrium’s private market assets which includes investments across property, debt financing and agriculture. 

Will brings a diverse set of skills to Atrium, spanning direct investment, external manager due diligence, technology and distribution. This unique skillset puts Will in a strong position to add to the team’s existing capability to identify risk and opportunity in private markets, diversify deal flow, drive operational efficiencies and enhance Atrium’s product offering. 

Commenting on the announcement, Atrium Chief Investment Officer, Tony Edwards said: “Will is a skilled and highly complementary addition to our Investment team. His analytical skills and investment experience combined with his financial expertise and business acumen will be a great asset to the team to identify outstanding private markets investments and continue to drive our offering.

Will holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) from the University Queensland.  He will be based in Atrium’s Brisbane office. 

Will’s appointment follows two further recent additions to the Atrium team. James White has recently joined as an Investment Specialist and Serena Sefton has taken on the Head of Legal role. James has over 20 years’ experience as a portfolio manager, investment strategist and economist, and was Chief Investment Officer for Hong Kong based Eminence Asset Management before joining Atrium. Serena has over 20 years’ experience within financial services, including senior legal and compliance positions with TCorp and Colonial First State.
