The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) is pleased to announce the panellists and theme for the 35th ANZIIF General Insurance Breakfast on 6 December at the Fullerton Sydney and online.
This year’s theme is Climate Change, Catastrophe, and the Effect on a Hard Market. The panellists will delve into this topic during two fireside chats and explore it from a range of perspectives in the general insurance sector.
The panellists include well-known industry leaders:
- Daniel Fogarty – CEO and Founder, Evari
- David Gow – Head of Claims, CHU
- Kylie MacFarlane – Chief Operating Officer, Insurance Council of Australia
- Stella Pruscino – Account Director, Edgewise
- Ryan Crompton – Managing Director, Risk Frontiers
Stella Pruscino is set to contribute her insights and advice into how insurers can avoid slipping into a soft market.
Pruscino emphasises the importance of long term strategies stating, “after many years of a firm market we are starting to see increased competition and a levelling of rates in certain classes of insurance, but we know all too well that maintaining a balance between risk and profitability is crucial.”
“For Brokers and insurers we need to be proactive in adjusting our strategies and focus on the long-term sustainability rather than the short-term gains that a shifting market can bring. I look forward to delving deeper into this topic at the event,” adds Pruscino.
Registration closes Thursday, 30 November.
