Bell Potter appoints Rob Jahrling to corporate finance team

Bell Financial Group Limited (ASX:BFG) has announced the appointment of Rob Jahrling as a Director in Bell Potter’s corporate finance team based in Sydney.

He joins from Citigroup where he was Head of Capital Markets and Head of Equity Syndicate.

Bell Financial Group Head of Corporate Finance James Unger said Rob’s extensive experience and deep industry contacts would be an asset to Bell Potter’s corporate clients.

‘With over 20 years of capital markets experience across Asia Pacific, Rob is known for exceptional strategic insight that clients value,’ Mr Unger said.

‘His proven ability to originate transactions and negotiate complex deals, along with his established corporate and investor relationships, make him a valuable addition to the team as we continue to expand our corporate advisory offering at Bell Potter.’

Bell Potter’s corporate finance team is ranked among Australia’s top equity capital markets facilitators, according to LSEG’s league tables.

The team has executed over 100 transactions and raised over $2 billion in capital for its clients in the last 18 months (through to end of June).

Commenting on the appointment, Mr Jahrling said, ‘I’m excited to work with the team at Bell Potter and believe it’s an exceptional platform from which to add value to clients as they grow their businesses.’

Mr Jahrling has held senior roles at Citigroup since 2010. Prior to that, he held roles at Deutsche Bank in Hong Kong and Credit Suisse in Sydney.

He is a former Olympic rower, winning silver at the 2000 Olympic Games.
