Zenith Investment Partners (Zenith) has conducted its annual review of the Australian fund management industry and assigned the LGT Multi-Alternatives Australia Fund (LMAAF) a “Highly Recommended” rating for the fourth consecutive year.

The LGT Global Private Equity Australia Fund (LGPE Australia Fund) also received a “Highly Recommended” rating again in its second year since inception. These top ratings mean that the research firm believes the funds have a very high probability of meeting their investment objectives.
LGT Capital Partners is a leading global specialist in alternative investing with over USD 110 billion in assets under management (AuM) and more than 700 institutional clients in 50 countries.
In the case of LMAAF, Zenith observed that it “maintains its high conviction in the strategy, highlighting LGT CP’s breadth of resourcing across each of the verticals and the intuitive mix of strategies with a focus on controlling downside risk.” Further, the report states: “In Zenith’s opinion, LGT CP’s reputation and scale in the private markets segment is considered a key source of deal flow, providing access to high-quality transactions across a range of leading general partners (GPs).”
Regarding the LGPE Australia Fund, the research firm commented: “In Zenith’s opinion, the quality and depth of LGT CP’s sourcing platform, coupled with the specialist nature of the asset mix, positions the Fund as a highly attractive option in the private assets sector.” According to the report, “the mix of co-investments and secondaries is a strong point of differentiation, providing a dedicated exposure to private assets where PE value creation drivers are the primary driver of returns.”
Nathan Pensabene, Partner at LGT Capital Partners, said: “We are pleased that our Australia funds have once again received the highest possible rating from Zenith Investment Partners, confirming the benefits of our extensive private markets platform and our multi-strategy approach.”
