Bennelong Funds Management has appointed Daniel Huxley as account director, NSW and the ACT, effective 27 July. He will be based in Sydney and report to Jodie Saw, Bennelong’s head of retail & wholesale distribution.
It follows the appointment earlier this month of Justin Murrihy as account director, Victoria and Tasmania, and comes as Bennelong further builds out its distribution capabilities.
In the role, Huxley will be responsible for building relationships with wholesale, private wealth and retail advisers on behalf of Bennelong’s boutique investment managers and distribution partners.
Saw said Huxley brings a strong track record in distribution and client relationship management across private and public markets, managed investments and alternative strategies.
“Dan has deep experience across capital raising, platform engagement and adviser coverage which will further enhance Bennelong’s distribution footprint for our boutiques and global asset managers such as Allspring Global Investments and Skerryvore Asset Management,” she said.
Huxley has more than 25 years’ experience in financial services distribution. He joins Bennelong from Oreana Group, where he spent two years as head of distribution, partnering with the CEO to build the firm’s investment management business for the Australian wealth market. He has also held senior distribution and leadership roles at Ausbil Investment Management and BT Financial Group, including account director and head of managed investment solutions. He holds a Master of Business from the University of Newcastle.
