DASH appoints Glenn Poynton as CEO

Integrated financial planning software and investment platform, DASH Technology Group (DASH), has appointed experienced fintech and wealth management executive, Glenn Poynton, as chief executive officer, signaling the group’s focus on strengthening delivery for advisers and clients as it builds for its next phase of growth.

Poynton joins DASH most recently from Betashares where he held the position of Executive Director, Corporate Development. Previously, he was Chief Strategy Officer at Class and spent 18 years at Macquarie Group in a variety of senior roles including Division Director, Wealth Product Strategy and Head of Commercial Management for the Macquarie Wrap.

He also has extensive experience consulting to the platform sector.

DASH chairman Geoff Lloyd said Glenn’s appointment coincided with an important period of change for the group, following the group’s 2025 acquisition of Integrated Portfolio Solutions (IPS) and strategic partnership with global alternatives fintech, S64.

“We are fortunate to have Glenn onboard to lead DASH on our journey to develop a new advice model that gives Australians access to the financial planning and investment administration services they need,” he said.

“Glenn has worked in both mature and start-up businesses in Australia and overseas, and has the broad skills and experience needed to continue executing our strategy to deliver innovative whole of wealth solutions to advisers and clients.”

In the past 12-18 months, DASH has bedded down its acquisition of IPS and successfully launched DASH Private, a non-custodial platform specifically designed for private clients, family offices and investment professionals.

Poynton said rising client expectations, amidst an increasingly complex regulatory and operating environment, created opportunities for DASH to help advisers solve their clients’ biggest problems and drive efficiencies in their business.

“I’ve spent my career working where wealth platforms, product, technology, distribution and regulated execution intersect and I’m excited to join Dash and work with Geoff and the Board,” he said.

“The wealth management industry is evolving quickly and DASH’s focus now is on delivering consistently for the advisers and clients who already rely on us, and building a strong operating foundation to continue to grow from.”
