HUB24 appoints Jason Hair as Chief Operating & Innovation Officer  

Following the retirement of the Chief Information Officer (CIO) in July, HUB24 established this new role, which incorporates the CIO’s responsibilities within a broader remit spanning innovation and strategy implementation.

The expanded role reflects the Group’s ongoing investment in technology and innovation to support growth and deliver enhanced outcomes for financial professionals and their clients.

Mr Hair brings extensive executive leadership experience across technology, operations, transformation, and customer-focused businesses. He joins HUB24 from Westpac, where he was Group Chief Digital Officer, accountable for the Group’s digital strategy, platforms and customer channels serving more than six million digitally active customers. He has also held senior leadership roles at organisations including Woolworths and Virgin Mobile, leading large and complex teams through periods of growth, transformation and digital innovation.

HUB24 Managing Director and CEO, Andrew Alcock said the newly created role reflects HUB24’s ongoing investment in technology, artificial intelligence, and innovation to enhance customer outcomes, increase productivity, and drive delivery of the Group’s strategy.

Mr Hair will lead the Group’s technology,innovation, program management and enterprise solutions functions, with responsibility for leading the implementation of key strategic initiatives across the Group, including the ongoing development of myhub and the adoption of AI and innovative technologies.

Alongside Mr Hair’s appointment, current Chief Operating Officer Craig Lawrenson will assume the title of Chief Executive, Platform, reflecting his end-to-end leadership of HUB24’s platform business as the Group continues to invest in delivering a leading platform experience for financial advisers and their clients.
