Dimensional Fund Advisors, a leader in systematic multifactor investing, has surpassed AUD $1 billion in assets under management across its six ASX-listed ETFs, less than three years after launching its first ETF in Australia.
“We are pleased to reach this milestone, which reflects the confidence financial professionals have placed in Dimensional’s approach,” Bhanu Singh, Dimensional Australia’s CEO said.
“We’ve spent decades applying financial science to real-world portfolios, and our ETF offering gives financial professionals another way to access that approach, combining broad diversification and low costs with flexible implementation.”
Dimensional in Australia
Dimensional’s Australian ETF offering builds on more than three decades of experience supporting financial professionals and institutions in Australia. Established in 1994, the Australian business manages 35 funds with more than AUD $79 billion in AUM.
Dimensional also has significant experience managing active ETFs globally, with AUD $435 billion in ETF assets across more than 45 funds [1] around the world.
Since launching its first three Australian ETFs in November 2023, Dimensional has expanded its offering to six strategies spanning broad core equity exposure and targeted strategies focused on Australian and global value stocks and global small caps.
The strategies are available through a “dual-access” structure, accessible through both ASX-listed and unlisted distribution channels.
Dimensional plans to list two additional ETFs on the ASX in the coming months, giving financial professionals greater choice and flexibility in tailoring portfolios to investors’ individual needs.
Following the science of investing
Dimensional has been applying financial science to investing since 1981. The firm is driven by an evidence-based approach that focuses on maintaining low costs and broad diversification.
Dimensional ETFs are designed to pursue higher expected returns through a flexible daily process and varying emphasis on known equity premiums. Rather than trying to outguess the market or simply track an index, Dimensional goes beyond indexing by systematically targeting research-backed drivers of returns, including company size, relative price and profitability.
