Alceon has appointed Aidan McCluskey to the newly created role of Head of Wholesale Capital and Omar Khan has been appointed as Head of Institutional and International Capital, establishing dedicated senior leadership for each of its key investor channels.
Reporting to Alceon’s Head of Funds Management, Grant Atchison, these appointments reflect Alceon’s sustained growth and its continued investment in strengthening relationships with investors and partners.
With a strong track-record in supporting and leading capital-raising initiatives, Mr McCluskey will lead Alceon’s domestic distribution team across the firm’s network of financial advisers, family offices, asset consultants, researchers, platforms and high-net-worth investors across Australia. Mr McCluskey previously held senior roles at Pantheon and MA Financial, bringing over a decade’s experience in capital raising and distribution.
Mr Khan has been with Alceon’s distribution team for over five years and brings a comprehensive understanding of the firm’s investment offering. In his new role, he will lead Alceon’s institutional and international investor relationships, creating a key point of contact for all institutional clients, investors and partners across Asia Pacific and the Middle East.
Commenting on the appointments, Alceon’s Chief Executive, David Gribble said: “We are thrilled to welcome Aidan to the expanded team and pleased with the opportunity it provides to elevate Omar’s leadership of our institutional and offshore relationships. Both Omar and Aidan bring impressive commercial acumen and an innate ability to establish and build trusted relationships.
“Demand for high-quality private market opportunities continues to grow both domestically and overseas. With dedicated senior leaders, Alceon will be well-positioned to offer our partners and investors more tailored solutions and a streamlined pathway to investment opportunities or capital,” said Mr Gribble.
The appointments follow the additions earlier this year of Michael Dowsett as Associate Director in its Wholesale Capital division, alongside Guy Silbert in Melbourne, as the firm continues to build its investor-facing team.
Established in 2010, Alceon is a respected, trusted capital partner with a 15-year track record of strategic investment success and more than $5 billion under management across various asset classes. It is led by a high-calibre team of more than 120 investment professionals with a wealth of experience across real estate, private equity, credit and special situations.
