Australian equities fund manager Chester Asset Management (Chester) welcomes the appointment of Malhar Ravalia as an analyst to its Melbourne investment team.

Mr Ravalia has a decade of experience working in financial services, including eight years as an acquisitions analyst at Satterley Property Group.

Speaking on the new appointment, Chester Managing Director and Portfolio Manager Rob Tucker said “We are pleased to announce the appointment of Malhar Ravalia as the newest member of our team. With his deep technical and analytical skills, we are confident that Malhar will make a significant contribution to our investment strategy and our ability to continue to deliver strong returns to our clients.

The Chester High Conviction Fund strategy, managed by the Chester team, has outperformed its benchmark by 6.7% pa net of fees, since its inception in October 20131.

Malhar joins Chester at a time of increasing interest in the Chester High Conviction Fund particularly among Australian financial advisers and direct investors. The fund is a concentrated Australian equity strategy fund that won Money magazine’s Best Australian Shares Fund for 2023.

Prior to his time at Satterley Mr Ravalia worked as a consultant at SGS Economics and Planning, after finishing his Master of Urban Planning at the University of Melbourne.
