The newly created role reflects Acclaim’s focus on expanding its distribution capability, deepening adviser relationships and supporting the next phase of growth under recently appointed CEO Julie Hamilton and COO Aimie West.

Mr Smith brings more than two decades of experience in financial services distribution, business development and adviser relationship management, having held senior leadership roles with ClearView Wealth and CommInsure. Throughout his career, he has built strong adviser partnerships, led high-performing distribution teams, and driven growth across competitive wealth and insurance markets. Most recently, Mr Smith established his own legal practice and brings a legal background and experience to the position.

Tony holds a Bachelor of Commerce, a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice and was admitted as an Australian Lawyer in 2021. Alongside his extensive distribution and adviser relationship experience, his legal background provides additional insight into regulatory and governance issues impacting financial services businesses.

Aimie West

Acclaim Wealth has appointed long-serving executive Aimie West to the newly created role of Chief Operating Officer (COO), reflecting the company’s continued growth and focus on enhancing service delivery to its national adviser network.

The appointment recognises Aimie’s eight-year contribution to Acclaim Wealth, during which she has held senior business development and adviser services leadership roles and played a key role in the evolution of the business’s operating model and adviser support capabilities.

Most recently, as Head of Adviser Services, Aimie led the division supporting more than 750 financial advisers nationally, overseeing service delivery, operational transformation and adviser engagement initiatives. She created the Adviser Services division and operating model, introduced workflow automation and analytics capabilities, and led a range of technology and process improvements across the business.

CEO Terry Constable said the creation of a COO role reflected Acclaim’s next phase of growth and ongoing commitment to advisers.

In her new role, Aimie will oversee operational strategy and execution across the business, with a focus on service delivery, adviser engagement, technology-enabled efficiency and scalable growth.

Aimie said the appointment is an opportunity to build on her existing strong partnerships and support Acclaim’s future growth.
