Belinda Webber

First Sentier Group (the Group), a global asset management organisation, today announced the appointment of Belinda Webber as Chief People Officer (CPO), effective 31 August. Based in Sydney, she will join the Executive Committee and report to Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Harry Moore.

Harry Moore, CEO of First Sentier Group said: “Belinda is a highly experienced and respected leader with deep expertise in building high-performing businesses. Her track record in aligning people strategy to business outcomes will be critical as we continue to invest in our people and deliver on our long-term growth ambitions.”

Ms Webber will play a key role in shaping the Group’s people strategy, supporting the development of a more connected, high-performing and client-focused organisation. She will work closely with senior leaders across the business to attract, develop and retain talent globally.

Ms Webber joins from Rabobank, where she served as Group Executive, Chief Human Resources Officer, with responsibility for Human Resources and Corporate Affairs across Australia and New Zealand. She brings more than 25 years of experience and a strong track record in leading complex projects, transformation initiatives and culture improvements, while championing employee engagement. Prior to Rabobank, Ms Webber held senior leadership roles at Commonwealth Bank, PepsiCo, Microsoft and ANZ Bank.

Her appointment follows the decision of the current Chief People and Culture Officer, Adele Swan, to step down following the relocation of the CPO role from Edinburgh to Sydney, where the CEO is based. The relocation is intended to strengthen engagement and collaboration between the CEO and the Group’s people leadership function.

Moore’s appointment follows the current CEO, Mark Steinberg’s intention to step down at the end of the year after seven years with the Group. Following a comprehensive search and selection process, Moore was appointed by the Board.

Prior to this appointment, Moore was Chief Commercial Officer, having been appointed in January 2025. He played a vital role in collaborating with the Group’s investment teams to advance their growth plans. He also oversaw responsible investment, product management, investments business management, and the First Sentier Investors’ investment teams in Australia and Asia. Before this, Moore was Global Head of Distribution, Marketing and Communications, based in London, providing oversight of sales, managing client relationships and overseeing marketing and communications activities globally. He began his career at First Sentier Group in 2010 and was appointed Managing Director of Australia, New Zealand, and Japan in 2019.

Moore has been with First Sentier Investors since June 2010.  In May 2020, he was appointed Global Head of Distribution and relocated from Sydney to London. Prior to this role, he served as Managing Director for Australia, New Zealand, and Japan, where he was responsible for business development and client service across these key markets.

In his new position, Moore will play a vital role in collaborating with all of First Sentier Investors’ investment teams to advance their growth plans, ensuring their interests are represented within the broader First Sentier Investors business. He will also oversee responsible investment, product management, investments business management, and our First Sentier Investors’ branded investment teams based in Australia and Asia. Moore who is based in London, will return to Sydney during Q1 2025.

Prendiville is based in Singapore and brings over 25 years of asset management experience, with a strong focus on client service. During her decade at First Sentier Investors, she has been instrumental in delivering exceptional service to our clients. Before joining First Sentier, Prendiville served as Executive Director of Institutional Business Development at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where she worked in both London and Singapore. Her extensive background also includes roles at Morgan Stanley Investment Management and Investec Asset Management, where she successfully managed relationships with a diverse range of clients, including pension funds, central banks, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, and private clients.

Both Moore and Prendiville will continue to report to Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mark Steinberg, and will be integral members of the First Sentier Investors Executive Committee.
