Ripoll to speak at FPA Conference
Bernie Ripoll MP, will discuss the future of the financial planning industry at the Financial Planning Association’s (FPA) 2010 National Conference: Your Wavelength.
The Ripoll inquiry laid the foundations for the Future of Financial Advice (FoFA) reforms, currently under consultation by the financial services industry.
Mr Ripoll will take part in a hypothetical debate on the future of the financial planning industry at the FPA’s National Conference, alongside high profile Australian QC, David Galbally.
FPA CEO, Mark Rantall said Mr Ripoll’s attendance would provide an invaluable opportunity for delegates to further their understanding of the intended impact of proposed reforms.
“It is very exciting to have someone so integral to the financial planning profession not only attend our Conference but to discuss the future of the industry,” Mr Rantall said.
“This is a rare opportunity for individual financial planning professionals to hear first hand how proposed changes will affect the financial planning profession.”
Mr Ripoll was Chair of the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Corporations and Financial Services, which held an inquiry into financial products and services in Australia following high profile corporate collapses.
