S&P assigns Four-Star ‘NEW’ Rating to Threadneedle Global Equity Fund
Standard & Poor’s Fund Services today released its four-star ‘NEW’ rating on the Threadneedle Global Equity Fund, managed by Threadneedle Asset Management.
Threadneedle is a dedicated global equities capability which has taken shape over a number of years, headed by the experienced Jeremy Podger. The team has access to Threadneedle’s greater research capabilities including regional equities, global sector, and corporate bond teams.
The fund is a differentiated offering that blends bottom-up research with top-down investment themes. The portfolio will typically display a growth bias but the manager remains value-aware.
“The manager navigated the GFC better than peers due to tactical calls which drew on insights from internal asset allocation and economic outlook meetings. We view this to be of great benefit, especially in a more macro-driven market environment,” said S&P Fund Services analyst Aniket Das.
