Hyperion Asset Management expands investment team with new hire

Australian equities fund manager Hyperion Asset Management has appointed Will Hartnell as a Dealer and Analyst to further strengthen its Brisbane-based investment team.

Bringing the investment-team to 5 strong, Will is to be responsible for execution of Hyperion’s equity trading and also for supporting the investment team by building on Hyperion’s research capabilities.

Will joins Hyperion from PwC where he spent 5 years, most recently in the Mergers and Acquisitions team. He brings to Hyperion in-depth experience in valuation and corporate finance across the Australian market.

According to Chief Investment Officer of Hyperion, Mark Arnold, Will’s track record in financial and strategic analysis will make him a valuable asset for the team.

“Will has a sound understanding of the Australian equity market through his experience in working with PwC.  He is an extremely valuable addition to the investment team.”

Will Hartnell added, “Hyperion’s unique investment philosophy was one of the key factors behind my decision to join the company. I’m very much looking forward to becoming an integral part of the investment team.”

Holding a Bachelor of Business Management and Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) from the University of Queensland, Will is also a CFA Charterholder.
