Morphic Global Opportunities Fund expands Platform availability with inclusion on Macquarie Wrap Super and Pension options

Morphic Asset Management is pleased to announce that the Morphic Global Opportunities Fund (MGOF) is now available on the Macquarie Wrap Super and Pension Platform.

The MGOF was already available on: Macquarie Wrap Investment service, BT wrap and Netwealth, and in time expects to join the other wrap platforms commonly used in Australia as demand from investors builds.

Jack Lowenstein, Morphic Managing Director said: “We are particularly pleased that we are now available to clients who use the full range of Macquarie Wrap options, given the quality of the advisers who use this leading platform.”

“The time is right to further broaden the access to Morphic, which is gaining increasing recognition as one of Australia’s leading global equities long short managers,” said Rory MacIntyre a partner at Winston Capital Partners, the firm responsible for the retail marketing of the MGOF in Australia.

“We are noticing a greater level of sophistication amongst leading financial planning groups in using strategies like Morphic’s to complement their low cost, pure beta exposed, global equity positions with a manager with an adaptive approach and strong focus on risk management.”

The MGOF uses a long-short global equities strategy conducted within a distinctively rigorous hedging and risk management framework that has resulted in exceptionally low volatility despite the Fund’s strong performance. The fund will soon post a three-year track record (inception August 2012) and has delivered a return of 28.84% (annualised and net of fees) as at 30th April 2015, meaning that despite hedging costs it has still beaten its benchmark, the MSCI

All Countries Total Return Index in Australian dollars, by a compound 40 basis points a year.
