Lochiel Crafter elected to FSC Board

Lochiel Crafter, Head of Asia Pacific, State Street Global Advisors, has been elected to the board of the Financial Services Council.

“With more than 25 years’ experience in the Australian financial services industry spanning asset management, investment research in Australia and Singapore, Lochiel brings considerable experience to the FSC Board,” FSC chairman, Greg Cooper said.

Lochiel joined State Street Global Advisors in 2001 where he held various roles including Chief Investment Officer, Asia Pacific.  In 2008 he was appointed to the position of Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Reward Investment Alliance before rejoining State Street Global Advisors in 2010 as the Head of Investments, Asia Pacific.  Lochiel was appointed Head of Asia Pacific in 2013.”

Prior to joining State Street Global Advisors Lochiel was Investment Director of Asset Allocation for Westpac Investment Management, Manager of Quantitative Portfolio Management for Commonwealth Investment Management, Manager of Quantitative Research for Mercury Asset Management, Equities Strategist and Quantitative Analyst for State Super Investment and Management Corporation and a Derivatives Analyst and ASX Floor Operator for Ord Minnett Securities.
