Industry-leading investment and superannuation platform provider HUB24 (ASX: HUB) yesterday launched international managed portfolios on its platform, enabling investors to directly own international listed companies via professionally managed portfolios from more than 15 global markets across North America, Europe and Asia.
Highly regarded boutique, Arnhem Investment Management, will be the first investment manager available on the platform with its Australia+ strategy, followed by other leading global investment managers such as Southeastern Asset Management, Franklin Templeton Investments, State Street Global Advisors, Marsico Capital Management and Geneva Advisors LLC in the new year.
This will be the first time many of these leading global managers will be directly accessible by retail clients in Australia.
The launch also allows licensees, such as specialist provider of investment management services Beulah Capital, to capitalise on the functionality, by launching a new international managed portfolio in January.
HUB24’s international managed portfolios offer access to leading global investment managers with the benefits of direct international share ownership, such as transparency of ownership, direct dividend cashflow and tax efficiencies, at an affordable cost.
HUB24 Managing Director Andrew Alcock said the unique offering was a watershed moment for the managed portfolio industry.
“HUB24 is disrupting the Australian wealth management industry with its market leading investment platform. We offer the broadest and most functional managed portfolio and SMA platform on the market with access to over 200 managed portfolio options. The addition of international managed portfolios further demonstrates this positon.
“Australian investors are often heavily weighted towards Australian equities. Direct investment in international equities can be difficult and expensive. Those that want global exposure are typically invested in exchange-traded funds or managed funds.
“Now investors can easily and affordably directly own such well-known companies such as Colgate, Nestle, Toyota, Visa, Microsoft and Apple via the international managed portfolios on our market-leading investment platform.
“Accessing international equities has never been so affordable and easy. HUB24’s award-winning platform has incorporated very complex functionality and made it simple for advisers and their clients,” he added.
The addition of international listed securities within managed portfolios on the HUB24 platform completes the evolution of managed portfolios to provide access to all asset classes including cash, fixed interest bonds and hybrids, small, mid and large cap Australian listed securities, Australian and Global Real Estate Investment Trusts, alternative assets and hedge funds and now international listed securities. This provides advisers with the ultimate in choice and diversification.
